[He did know and that was part of why he felt like he could do this, maybe. He had Ronan's love and support and that made some things easier. Maybe. He didn't know how he'd feel about actually doing this thing yet, but in theory...he thought he could handle it.
He paced the house while he waited for Ronan to get home, and the moment the words were out of his mouth (which made Kavinsky feel warm down to his toes), he more or less flung himself into Ronan's arms, pressing against him.]
Hey. Hope I didn't make you drop anything important.
[It was as close as he was going to get to 'sorry I made you come home suddenly'.]
[Ronan couldn't help smiling, just wrapping his arms around his boyfriend, tucking his face into the side of his neck, pressing soft kisses to the side of his neck. Just easy affection, just warmth, trying to curl his love around him. It's actually sort of reassuring for Ronan the way that Kavinsky flings himself at him, because while he believes him that they're fine, that this isn't about their relationship- the visceral physicality kills the shadows that always haunt Ronan's thoughts.]
Nah. Anyway, I wanna be here for you. So if you need me- I want you to ask. I was just looking around some stores, though.
[So no, he hadn't been doing anything important. But he also -- he wanted Kavinsky to know that it didn't matter. That he wanted to be here for him, that he wasn't imposing, that when Ronan said that he wanted him, he didn't just mean when it was sexy or easy. He also meant when he needed a shoulder, or someone to hold onto him. He meant this, too.
He didn't want him to say sorry. He pressed a kiss to his temple, softly brushing his dark hair back from his face, but it was mostly just an excuse to touch him.]
I was thinking we could curl up together while we talk, if you'd like that. On the couch, maybe?
[His tone says that it's Kavinsky's choice, but also that Ronan is trying to be supportive, trying to offer what he thinks he might need.]
[He'd never had someone who supported him the way Ronan did. Sure, he'd had his pack and they were his friends, but that was different. They didn't love him he way Ronan did. There wasn't a day that went by that Kavinsky didn't think about how lucky he was. He didn't ever want to take this for granted.]
Thanks.
[He appreciated Ronan, he really did. He appreciated the feeling of his arms wrapped around him, the warmth of his body, every touch, but he also appreciated other things, like Ronan dropping whatever he was doing to be here for him. It meant a lot to him, more than he knew how to put into words.
Smiling a little, he kissed Ronan softly.]
Yeah. Curling up with you always sounds like a good idea.
[It wasn't even an innuendo, unless cuddling was suddenly scandalous.
He pulled away far enough to take Ronan's hand and tug him towards the living room.]
